It’s been a super busy last few weeks. We finished an awesome east coast tour, then I shot up to Webster, WI to play at Herzl Camp and then Sebago, ME to play at Camp Micah… great shows! For the few days ‘off’ in between, we did some work finishing off our new album, Simply Shabbat, and starting Sheldon Low’s new Shabbat album which is going to be incredible.
I’m on an airplane now with my boy, Kobi, heading out to URJ Camp Newman for a few days, then off to Aspen for a speaking and singing engagement at the JLF conference. This is one of the most special things I’ve ever done being with Kobi. Since he was born, I’ve dreamed about him being on the road with me… just the 2 of us. Never a dull second.

Hey Rick Recht!
Saw you at Newman, great show! I know I enjoyed it!
Quick question and maybe you could answer it in a future post. I know I enjoy it every year you come by for a beautiful concert as a camper and now counselor, but I’ve always wondered…what do you think of Newman? Compared to the other camps you’ve played at, how has you’re experience been different? How does Newman compare overall?
Sorry for the question and and answer session but I’m very interested to hear your take on it. Do you have any plans on coming back? Every show is different so I’m wondering as an audience member, did anything special happen this year? Possibly something that would change your mind on coming back? A rumor has been going around and I personally find it hard to go back to a summer without an annual concert! Please answer! I’m very interested!
Otherwise,
Great shows and music! I love “the hope” its so inspirational!
Thank you!
